Today I want to chat about Kombucha. That is obviously utterly unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I understand you won't obey.

Allow me to start off by stating that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water every morning to reduce inflammation or anything like this.

He claims it's magical. I claim it's nasty.

While I know this is going to seem dramatic (because it is)I literally dry heave at the sight and odor of his early ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.

Based upon this reaction, an individual would feel I would stay far away from Kombucha, directly? I mean, after all, it certainly comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for any reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies are very simple to make and filled with banana taste.

I'm really a marketer's fantasy because every single time I see somebody I know enjoying a sip, or touting their favourite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I am all,"Maybe that one will really taste decent!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the word enjoying cause I believe it is difficult to think this stuff is really enjoyable in any sense of the word.

And spoiler alert. Not one of them taste great. None.

Even the ones which people claim are mild are a large contraceptive for me personally. They taste like freaking bubbly vinegar.

I'm basically convinced that anyone who drinks this brewed tea material gets zero taste buds, or badly funky ones.

I have literally tried every single brand that my community marketplace conveys and I HATED, maybe not overdone, HATED each one.

While I'm not claiming these banana oatmeal biscuits are the least bit healthy (because hello sugar and butter), I'm claiming they are delicious.

They have the perfect quantity of banana flavor and a beautiful chewy texture as a result of the oats. The chocolate chips are simply an additional bonus.

I enjoy these biscuits a little on the side, therefore that I bake them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 minutes.

YIELD: about 30 biscuits PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes



1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature

1 large egg

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup pops flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add the skillet and vanilla.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Gently add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.

Use a moderate cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and lightly press the tops of each cookie with the bottom of a drinking glass. Since these cookies don't spread much, this can give them a traditional cookie form.
